How do we build AI-powered products that remain useful, aligned, and adoptable across varying levels of human trust and control preference, as AI capabilities improve over time?

As AI systems grow more capable, different users and organizations will adopt them at different speeds and expect different levels of control, oversight, or collaboration. Technical systems must adapt not only to model capability curves, but to the human-side adoption gradient—balancing safety, utility, and trust across a long transition period.
